Is AP English Literature hard?
Well, it turns out neither AP Literature or AP Language is super easy to pass, and both are quite difficult to get a 5 (the highest score) on. (For more on AP test scoring, see our post.) Both exams have low pass rates and very low 5 rates.

What is the hardest AP class?
AP US History, AP Biology, AP English Literature, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, and AP Chemistry are often counted among the hardest AP classes and tests. These AP classes go through a large amount of material, have difficult final exams, and concepts can be very difficult to understand.

AP Lit is easy. Don’t feel the need to take it if your college wont care that you are taking it senior year and the credits are the same. it’ll be a waste of time. Only take it if you are planning on applying to slightly more competitive schools (acceptance lower than, like 40 or 50%).
