Is AP Lang or AP Lit easier?
Many students ask me whether the AP Language test or the AP Literature test is harder. Different students may find different tests harder, but in general, the AP Literature test is harder.
Should I take AP lit or AP Lang?
In general, I’d recommend AP Lang for students interested in basically any career path and AP Lit for students interested in reading, writing, and humanities. With either class, students will have to put in time and effort (and a good deal of reading and writing) to succeed.
Is AP lit worth it?
After all, it’s a major time commitment, and you’re probably going to have to work really hard to perform well in your AP® class and on the real AP® English Literature and Composition Exam. In most cases, taking an AP® class is absolutely worth the effort.
